Tower Crane Jib

The KAL500 is equipped with a remotely operated hydraulic Jib at the top of the tower. Controlled from the cabin, the jib has a safe working load of 500kg and has the ability to slew 180 degrees. It is the primary rod-handling device for loading and unloading of additional drill rods.

The crane has an extendable jib to provide additional reach and flexibility for the operator.

Hydraulic functions include:

  • Slew - 180 degrees
  • Jib - up/down
  • Jib - extend/retract 1300mm
